Who founded Spooler and what is the team's background?
Spooler was founded by Binoy Joseph, a media industry veteran with 25+ years of experience across Indian FM radio, satellite radio, video, and digital media. Prior to founding Spooler, Binoy held senior leadership roles at Radio City, BIG FM, and Jagran New Media. Is Spooler a podcast agency?
No. Spooler is not a podcast agency. It is an intelligent audio platform that builds and operates always-on AI audio ecosystems for businesses. While Spooler does offer podcast strategy and production as a service, our core products — The Mixr and My Office Radio — are AI-powered audio infrastructure platforms, not one-time production services.

How is The Mixr different from Spotify or a playlist app?

Do I need special hardware to use The Mixr?

The Mixr is a technology platform with managed creative services powered by AI. If you intend to play commercial music at your establishment, the necessary music licence must be acquired by your business. In India, this is governed by PPL (Phonographic Performance Limited). Alternatively, The Mixr can be configured to play royalty-free music, which requires no PPL licence and is a fully compliant, hassle-free option for most businesses.

What Indian languages does Spooler support?

Does Spooler require any special hardware?
No. Neither The Mixr nor My Office Radio requires any special hardware. Both work on any device with a speaker or internet connection — a smartphone, tablet, laptop, or existing audio system.
Who owns the IP to the content Spooler creates?
The intellectual property rights to all non-music content created by Spooler — including jingles, AI ads, custom voice content, and any other audio produced for your brand — can be purchased outright for a one-time fee. Once purchased, the IP belongs entirely to your business. Content that has not been purchased remains the property of Spooler and its group of companies.
